Neil was a Senior Adviser to, and Chairman of the Perth office of UBS for 8 years ending May 2018. He has had a 35 year career in law and in business in funds management and investment banking industries.
Neil is current Chairman of Buckeridge Group of Companies (BGC).
He also previously held a number board positions including Chairman of Oz Minerals, Challenge Bank, Western Power Corporation, Mount Gibson Iron and Iress Market Technology and Director of Insurance Australia Group and Metcash. He is past Chairman of West Coast Eagles Football Club and the AFL Players Association Advisory Board and a Life Member of both organisations.
Neil practised law as a Partner with the firm Robinson Cox (now Clayton Utz).
Neil graduated with an LLB from The University of Western Australia.

Tim has over 17 years experience in investment banking. Prior to founding Sternship Advisers, Tim was Executive Director and Head of the Perth UBS office for 7 years. Tim spent 5 years in investment banking with Macquarie Bank in Sydney where he worked on over 25 capital raisings and M&A mandates. He also spent two years in senior management in a Macquarie Bank operating portfolio company running product and corporate development.
Tim also spent two years in New York helping lead the asset sale process for Babcock and Brown’s US energy business which led to the sale of over $2 billion EV of energy assets.
Tim holds a Bachelor of Law from The University of Western Australia and Macquarie University as well as a Bachelor of Economics with Honours from The University of Western Australia graduating with the University Medal as the top honours student.

Denis Dwiputra is a Director with Sternship with over 4 years of M&A and capital markets experience at UBS with a focus on the natural resources sector but with exposure across mining services and infrastructure. Denis is highly skilled in valuation and financial analysis with experience on both sell-side and buy-side of transactions.
Denis holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) and Engineering (Civil Engineering with First Class Honours) from The University of Western Australia.
R O B E R T T H O M S O N
Robert Thomson is a Director with Sternship with over 6 years of M&A and capital markets experience. Robert has worked across a wide variety of engagements, including general corporate advisory, financing transactions and public company M&A, particularly within the natural resources, industrial, engineering and telecommunications sectors.
Prior to joining Sternship, Robert worked at Azure Capital in Perth.
Robert also spent two years in New York on secondment from Azure Capital where he worked for a private corporate advisory firm focused on financing transactions for clients operating in the mining, energy, infrastructure and technology sectors. Robert completed FINRA’s Series 7 and 63 license examinations during his time in New York.
Robert holds a Bachelor of Commerce (majoring in Corporate Finance and Investment Finance) and a Bachelor of Economics (majoring in Financial Accounting, Money & Banking and International Business Economics) from the University of Western Australia. During his undergraduate studies, Robert interned with AngloGold Ashanti at their Sunrise Dam Gold Mine in Laverton.

Yvonne Hoy is an Associate Director with Sternship with over 8 years experience across asset management and investment banking industries.
Most recently, Yvonne spent 4 years in investment banking with UBS in Perth and prior to this she worked in institutional sales at Macquarie Group, Dimensional Fund Advisors and Fidelity in Sydney where she played an integral role in winning new business.
Yvonne holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance & Business Information Systems) from Bond University, Gold Coast.

Dane has over 17 years of experience in investment banking, including 5 years as UBS Co-head of Capital Markets. Dane has advised on and executed more than 110 capital raising transactions including IPOs, placements, rights issues, secondary block sell-downs and private capital.
His experience also covers the full capital spectrum including debt, convertibles, hybrid capital and equity.
Dane is currently a partner of Lonhro Capital Partners, a mid-market focused investment firm.
Dane holds a Bachelor of Business degree from Queensland University of Technology and a Masters of Applied Finance.

Andrea has 14 years of experience in venture capital and investment banking, with expertise in the technology sector (specializing in B2B, SaaS, DaaS, corp dev, strategic partnerships and raising growth equity).
Currently a General Partner of Tidal Ventures, an early stage venture capital fund headquartered in Sydney, Andrea runs their international business from New York. She was previously with Bailador Technology Investments, an ASX-listed $120m fund, for 4 years and spent 3 years with BOOST&Co, a EUR 250M growth fund in London.
Andrea frequently assumes board positions in technology companies based in the US and Australia and is an angel investor in start-ups across Australia, the US and the UK. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce (majoring in Quantitative Finance) from McGill University in Montreal and a Masters of Business Administration from INSEAD (Class of D'09).
